Hi everyone!
I’m Anil Aggarwal, visiting India from the USA. My parents live in Delhi, so I make this trip often — but this time, I’m documenting everything to help others who are planning a similar journey.
This post will be continuously updated with new experiences, bills, and travel tips as I go.
1. How I Booked My Flight
I used Skyscanner.com to find the cheapest month to fly.
My pro tip: always tick the “cheapest month” option — you’ll see all the best rates at a glance.
I prefer direct flights to India because they save time and jet lag.
I booked using my company credit card, and my CPA logs it as a business expense.
I took airindia as I think its best knowing price and direct flight

2. Staying Connected in India
Before leaving the U.S., I activated my T-Mobile International Plan ($50/month) which gives me:
Unlimited data and texting in India Instant connection upon landing No need to buy a local SIM
This has been a game-changer for staying online from the moment I land.
3. Local Commute: Uber in India
After landing in Delhi, I booked an Uber right from the airport using my U.S. phone number.
No Indian SIM needed — just Wi-Fi or mobile data.
I’ll share the Uber referral link soon for those who want a quick airport ride option.
4. Duty-Free Shopping & Essentials
From the airport, I picked up a few favorites from Duty-Free — including beer and liquor.
Once home, I ordered essentials like bottled water, Casa Ice Cream, and groceries online.
Pro tip: Apps like Blinkit and Zepto deliver within minutes — super convenient for travelers staying with family.
5. Using My NRO Account
Instead of using my U.S. card, I make all local purchases through my NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) account.
This keeps transactions smooth and avoids foreign exchange fees.
For this I downloaded . It’s free and best you can link this using usa phone number. No need to carry dollars . You can pay almost anyone anywhere any amount from rupee 1 to 10000

6. Food & Local Spots
Delhi food never disappoints!
I’ll be sharing:
Local restaurant reviews Food delivery experiences My favorite hangout spots
If you have any restaurant suggestions, drop them in the comments!
First day as I landed , I ordered food from game-changer for grocery shopping with Zepto – lightning-fast 10-minute delivery . Use code LNX150 to get Zepto Pass @ ₹1 Let’s elevate our daily essentials together!

7. Spiritual & Cultural Visits
On this trip, I’m also planning to visit Vaishnav Devi Temple with my college friends — a tradition that connects faith and friendship.
I’ll post a separate update with travel tips, hotel stays, and darshan timings for others planning the same pilgrimage.
8. Let’s Connect
If you’re in Delhi NCR and want to meet, collaborate, or explore real estate or travel ideas together — feel free to DM me via Instagram or WhatsApp (link in bio).
I always enjoy connecting with new people and sharing meaningful conversations.
